Community is at our core

OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP OBJECTIVE

Our objective is to build strong community partnerships by engaging with families, youth and local businesses. Entertainment, functions, dining sports and social clubs provide a pathway for our Club to become central hub for our community through social networking and in turn enhances growth for our Club to continue to develop.

Engaging with our Community allows for us to build stronger networks with an offer of many services within the club. Each month we have the ability to host a variety of events for each community partner where they will utilise our facilities and promote their needs with our Support. Each Community Partner will be expected to Organise as many fundraising opportunities as they would like within the month. Examples of fundraising Activities include Trivia nights, Discos, Bingo nights and raffles to name a few.

HOW DOES A COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP WITH CULBURRA BEACH BOWLO WORK?

If you are eligible under Category 1 & Category 2 Club Grants you can apply below to be one of 12 Community Partners who will equally share a minimum of $36,000 annually for Cat.1 & Cat. 2 grants.

There are also additional opportunities for fundraising throughout the month.

CATEGORY 1 CLUB GRANTS

Category 1 Club Grants fund projects and services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community. Examples of eligible local participants include:

  • RFS

  • Homeless Hub

  • Men’s Shed

  • Clontarf Foundation

  • Marine Rescue

  • Culburra Public School

  • Senior Citizens

CATEGORY 2 CLUB GRANTS

Allocation expenditure is that expenditure allocated to the community development and support activities and projects not listed under category 1 as well as expenditure allocated to a club’s core activities. For example, Sport, Return servicemen’s, League or veteran welfare, golf courses and bowling greens etc.

Our intake for the next round of participants opens on the 1st April 2024 and closes 18th of August 2024. Applications are reviewed in late August for notification in September.
